Set in the port of Castletownbere, Haven Medical Centre commands a prominent position overlooking Berehaven Harbour in West Cork. Our location offers tranquil, safe and idyllic surroundings to those in need of medical care.

Haven Medical Centre offers patients comprehensive care and advice.

Opened in 2022 this new state of the art facility was built to offer the people of Beara and beyond the utmost degree of medical care. This care extends beyond the local community to tourists, seafarers and those in need of urgent medical attention should the need arise.

Haven Medical Centre emerged from Dr. Kelly's 15-year tenure as a GP in Castletownbere. In 2017 Dr Kelly, responding to the growing demand for healthcare services on the peninsula, established Haven Medical Centre, a purpose built facility. Commitment to our patients has been to the fore always, as evidenced by the exceptional care and support provided to them over the years.

Haven Medical Centre embarks on a new era under Dr. Kelly's leadership. She guides a team of dedicated and proficient professionals, both in clinical and administrative roles, committed to delivering highest quality care to the community.

Our objective is to give continuous care to the people of Beara and beyond.

Dr. Nicola Du Toit, an experienced physician with 15 years expertise joins Dr.Kelly after moving from South Africa to Ireland to pursue GP full time. She previously worked as a GP and Aesthetic Practitioner and her specialities include Joint Injections, Dermatology and Excisions.

Assisting the doctors are our two highly skilled and seasoned nurses, Linda and Angela, who prioritise patient-centred healthcare, offering patients the time and attention they require in a safe and compassionate environment.
